As part of the First Working Meeting, an Industrial Workshop on “Flexibilization and Optimization of Heat Pump Systems in Existing Residential Buildings through Secondary-Side Digitalization” was held. The workshop brought together representatives from housing companies, building owners, project developers, planners, HVAC installers, system providers, energy suppliers, and research institutions.

Discussions focused on the potential of digitalization, data integration, real-time control, and AI-based applications to improve the efficiency, flexibility, and sustainability of heat pump systems in existing buildings. The workshop also provided an opportunity for stakeholders from industry and research to exchange perspectives on technical, economic, regulatory, and market-related challenges in the digital transformation of the heat pump and energy sector.
